Florida Women in Leadership Symposiums Coming October 2012

By: Sofia Reed, Senior Coordinator of the Florida Diversity Council The Florida Diversity Council will be hosting its annual Women in Leadership Symposiums in Orlando, South Florida, Southwest Florida, and Tampa Bay in October. The purpose of the Women in Leadership Symposium is to empower and celebrate the successes of local women in the workplace and community. The theme for the upcoming Symposiums is “Realizing Our Greatest Success” and panelists will discuss the following topics: (1) Beyond the Box — Letting go of preconceived barriers and fears; (2) Networking Our Way Up — Always finding ways to connect; (3) Balancing Life and Work — How do we do it?; (4) Giving and Receiving — Supporting one another in both directions; and (5) Leadership Best Practices — What it takes to lead in today’s world. Following the continental breakfast, a panel of five local female leaders will discuss these topics and engage in a Q&A Session at the end of the event. The Tampa Bay Symposium attracted over 100 attendees last year and is expected to attract more than 200 attendees this year! Tickets for the event are $49.00, and space is filling quickly.
